Wellness & Relaxation

Time to slow down, reconnect and enjoy Romania's nature, food and quieter side.

For travellers wanting a genuine break as much as a holiday. Slow mornings, time in nature and quiet places to simply be, with days left deliberately light rather than built around a packed schedule of sights.

What this journey is about

This is Romania at its gentlest pace.

Wellness and relaxation trips are built around slow mornings, time in nature, good local food and quiet places to simply be, rather than a schedule to keep. Days might include a walk through forest or hills, time by the water, or an afternoon with nothing planned at all. It's less about seeing everything and more about coming back feeling rested.

This is a travel concept, not a medical or clinical one — the focus is on pace, setting and space, not treatments or programmes. Accommodation is chosen for its setting as much as its comfort, often rural and always quiet, and the schedule stays light throughout.

These trips suit:

  • Travellers wanting a genuine break, not just a change of scenery
  • Couples or small groups looking to slow down together
  • Anyone who would rather have one unplanned afternoon than three more sights

A guide and driver are on hand when you want them, arranging a walk, a visit or a quiet transfer, and otherwise staying out of the way so the trip can breathe.

What you can expect

What a wellness & relaxation journey feels like

  • Small groups

Kept small or entirely private, so the pace stays calm and personal rather than following a busy group schedule.

  • Local knowledge

A guide who knows the quieter corners of each region — a forest walk, a village, a spot by the water — worth the stillness.

  • Comfortable accommodation

Rural, quiet properties chosen for their setting first, so where you stay is part of the rest, not just a bed for the night.

  • Carefully planned routes

Short, easy routes between places, keeping travel time to a minimum so the days stay unhurried and the setting does the work.

  • Time to explore

Genuinely open time built into most days, including afternoons with nothing scheduled at all beyond whatever you feel like doing.

  • One point of contact

One person plans the pace of the trip with you and stays available if you'd like to slow things down further.

How we design these journeys

We plan by leaving things out, not adding them in.

A wellness trip only works if the schedule resists the urge to fill every day, so we plan by deliberately leaving space rather than adding more stops.

Principles we work to:

  • Fewer activities per day, chosen for calm rather than variety
  • Rural, quiet accommodation with genuine space around it
  • Short travel times, so days aren't lost to the road
  • Free, unscheduled time built in as standard, not as an extra
  • No wellness treatments or medical claims — this is about pace and setting
  • Flexibility to slow the trip down further once you're there

Private journeys or small groups, so you have time, space and real conversations along the way.

Questions before you book

How do I book a trip?

Choose the tour that suits you and send your enquiry from its page, or use "Build your trip" for something tailor-made. We reply personally, usually with a few questions, then put together availability and next steps around your dates.

How does payment work?

A 30% deposit secures your place on a trip, with the balance due before departure. Payment details, deadlines and accepted methods are shown clearly on each tour, and we're always happy to talk you through them directly.

Can I pay in GBP or EUR?

Most of our tours are priced in GBP. Where a tour is priced in EUR, you can also pay in GBP, converted at our bank's exchange rate plus a small margin, which simply covers the currency risk on our side.

What's included in the price?

Every tour lists exactly what's included and what's not, under "What's included" and "What's not included" on its own page, so you know precisely what you're paying for before you book, with nothing hidden or assumed.

Who are the trips for?

All ages: young couples, families, multi-generational groups, and travellers who have time to travel differently. Every tour shows its pace, easy, moderate or active, so you can see straightaway whether it suits you and your travelling companions.

What if the group doesn't fill up?

Each small-group tour states its minimum group size and what happens if that number isn't reached. We'll always contact you well in advance if a departure needs to change, and we'll talk through your options together.
