Romanian Heritage Journeys
You left Romania but never forgot it. Or you want to show your UK-born children where the family comes from. Guided in Romanian, built around your own story.
Because this trip isn't about sightseeing — it's about belonging. We show you places you may not have seen yourself, with a guide who understands exactly what it feels like to come home.
You'll feel the particular kind of homesickness that only lifts when your feet are back on Romanian soil, and the pride of watching your children discover it too.
Whatever matters to your family: a home village, a region your parents came from, a language and a way of life passed down but rarely seen in person.
Tell us where your family is from, or which region matters most, and we build a trip around it: village visits, family-style meals, and as much or as little sightseeing as you'd like.
Everything is guided in Romanian and English, so no one in the family is ever excluded or lost in translation. Price depends on the route and group size.
We meet, you tell us your family's story, and we listen.
We visit the villages and regions that matter to you, at your pace.
Home-cooked meals, conversations, and moments we won't script for you.
A last morning together before your flight home.
We take care of everything: flights, transfers, accommodation, meals, a bilingual guide, and the small details you only notice when they're missing.
We travel in small groups, with local partners we know personally, and one point of contact before you fly and throughout your trip.
We depart on the fixed dates in the calendar. If you'd like your own private group or different dates, ask for a tailor-made quote.
# Travel Conditions
At Romania Soul Tours, we want every journey to be well organised, comfortable and enjoyable. Before booking, please take a moment to read the general travel conditions below, together with the specific information and terms provided for your chosen journey.
Each journey may have its own booking and payment conditions. Details of the deposit, balance payment and payment deadlines will be clearly provided before your booking is confirmed.
Our itineraries are carefully planned, but occasionally changes may be necessary due to circumstances beyond our control, such as weather conditions, road access, local events, traffic or other unforeseen circumstances. If changes are required, we will always aim to preserve the character and overall experience of your journey.
We carefully select transport and accommodation according to the type and style of each journey. Full details of the accommodation, transport and relevant facilities are provided on the individual journey page.
Our journeys are designed to allow time to explore, relax and enjoy local experiences. Depending on the itinerary, you may encounter walking, stairs, uneven surfaces, longer drives or other physical requirements. Relevant information will be provided for each journey.
Please tell us before booking about any special requirements, allergies, dietary restrictions, mobility considerations or other circumstances that may be important for us to know when planning your journey.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have all documents required for your journey, including a valid passport, visa or other documentation where applicable.
We strongly recommend taking out appropriate travel insurance before travelling. Your policy should provide suitable cover for cancellation, medical expenses and other circumstances relevant to your journey.
The conditions for changing or cancelling a booking vary depending on the journey and will be set out in the applicable booking terms and conditions.
Our small-group journeys are designed to keep the experience personal and relaxed. Group sizes and any specific requirements will be clearly stated for each departure.
If you are unsure whether a particular journey is right for you, please contact us before booking. We are happy to explain the itinerary, walking requirements, transport, accommodation, pace and anything else you would like to know.
We don't believe Romania should be seen in a hurry. We want you to know what to expect before you travel, so that once you arrive, you can relax and enjoy Romania.
Important: These are general travel conditions and do not replace the full Terms & Conditions applicable to your booking. Specific journey terms, including pricing, deposits, cancellation policies, inclusions and exclusions, will apply where stated.
