In parts of Romania you can still see what much of rural Europe looked like a century ago: wooden churches, carved gates, hay stacked by hand, horses on the road and Sunday clothes embroidered at home.
We love comparing old family photographs with the same villages today. Many of our guests of Romanian origin bring their own. If you have a photo of your family's village, send it to us and we will try to take you there.
